Korea 2010 - part 2

Here comes the part 2 of the trip. Since it is a business trip, I only manage to visit Gyeongbokgung and Insadong in Seoul. Here are the photos taken in Gyeongbokgung, the oldest palace of the Joseon Dynasty.

You can find the imperial guards dressed in the traditional uniforms and patrolling around the palace during daytime.


They just don't wanna smile ...  ^_^;

Here is the layout of the main hall in the palace.


We were not allowed to enter the main hall, so I have to take the photo from the outside.
The emperor's seat is in the middle.

Errr... not sure if this is pine tree ..?  It is very common in Korea.





“秋水芙蓉楼” - no idea what does it mean. Perhaps, I have abandoned my Chinese language for too long ..  >"<


So, this are the 12 zodiac animals in Korea. They are exactly the same as the Chinese.


I found mine ... the dog ..


Graveyard ??  May be ..  ^_^;


And some unknown statues, I was a bit lazy to read the description as it was pretty hot out there :p

The palace is pretty huge. There is a museum located within the palace itself, can't recall the name.
